Welcome to The Square Tavern
A Chicago Style Tavern with a full bar, food from Scott's Pizza Kitchen, a non-smoking, inviting atmosphere, and a family dining room. Across from the beautiful Gibson County Courthouse!
Designed and set in a building built by Freed in 1904, it is almost a duplicate of Scott's family tavern, now called The Cabin at Old Irving on Chicago's Northwest Side.
The Square is a small establishment that focuses on the community and bringing culture to the area. We host events, fundraisers, and parties for our regular clientele. Sunday is 18 and over, online ordering and takeout only, with food to share from patrons and the kitchen.
The largest Bourbon, Tequila, Vodka, and Draft (10) selection in Gibson County.
Sunday Funday!
Sunday Funday! Limited Menu and bar seating, 18 and over only on Sunday! It's a day when so many of our core customers share their week and special foods they create. We run a loose ship on Sunday, so it's as close to a Cheer's style atmosphere you'll find.
Kitchen is open for bar seating, online ordering, and takeout only. There is usually a potluck-style meal available from our patrons.
There is always something happening, focused on bringing people to our beautiful town.

Live Music, Karaoke and Venue Rentals
Karaoke, DJs, Live Music, and theater rehearsals are just some of the things you'll see on Friday and Saturday nights. We have a full stage with sound and light, a dance floor, a lounging area, and a dining area in the south section of the building. Have a private event? Let us know your needs.
The Square Roots Stage room is available to rent for a shower, reception or even a class. The sound system and projector are available for your use. Bring your own food or we can cater.
